Mr. Obama told a group of lawmakers from his own Democratic Party Wednesday that his administration plans to put "constant pressure" on China and other countries to open their markets in reciprocal ways.
U.S. manufacturers have also complained for years about Beijing's tight manipulation of its currency, saying it gives an unfair pricing advantage to Chinese manufacturers when they sell their goods overseas.Beijing has rejected calls to revalue its currency.
