Russian President Dmitry Medvedev says it is too early to announce whether he will run for a second term in next year's presidential election.However, Mr. Medvedev told the hundreds of reporters at a news conference in Skolkovo, a technology center outside Moscow, that he will announce his decision soon. He also said a news conference is not the right format for such an announcement.
Mr. Medvedev is seen as a protege of former president Vladimir Putin, who is now prime minister. Mr. Putin is also a possible presidential candidate next March.
