[00:06.64]And so, the competition between it and Nanchang Wanda Park begins. [00:14.48] The Dalian Wanda Group company operates Nanchang Wanda Park. [00:20.16] It opened at the end of May. [00:23.24]Nanchang and Shanghai are about 600 hundred kilometers apart. [00:30.12]Both parks are large. [00:32.72] Nanchang Wanda covers about 200 hectares. [00:38.20]Shanghai Disney is about twice that. [00:41.72]But its admission price is also twice as high. [00:47.24]The Wanda park says it has the largest roller coaster in China. [01:57.20] Amusement park business experts say the companies [02:02.72]need to win the support of China's young people. [02:07.48]Tiger Zou is a partner at a Chinese entertainment consulting business. [02:13.72]He thinks Disney has an early advantage. [02:17.96]"... Disney has been increasing in influence [02:21.60]with its success in the movie industry with films such as Frozen. [02:27.40]This success...has helped Disney to earn its position with younger children," he said. [02:34.64]Elliott Weiss is a professor at the University of Virginia. [02:40.12] He has studied Shanghai Disney. [02:43.12]He said Disney is likely to face increasing difficulties as it builds its business in China. [02:52.16]But he praises the park's placement. [02:55.68]Weiss said there are 330 million people [02:59.86]within a three-hour drive from Shanghai Disneyland. [03:05.16]Both companies expect growth in China's economy. [03:10.08]Disney expects 15 to 30 million visitors a year to its park.
