[00:07.92]According to World Photo Day's website, [00:12.16]August 19 is the day the photographic process [00:18.16]known as the Daguerreotype was patented in 1839. [00:25.28]The first World Photo Day was in 2009. [00:31.24]World Photo Day allows people [00:33.97]to "celebrate their passion for photography." [00:38.72]On World Photo Day, many people are posting their [00:43.40]favorite photos with the hashtag #worldphotoday. [00:48.88]That includes photos from the Rio de Janeiro Olympics. [00:54.92]One photo many people liked [00:57.28]came from the qualifying part of the men's 200-meter race. [01:03.40]Sprinter Usain Bolt of Jamaica was pictured smiling [01:08.96]as he crossed the finish line ahead of the other runners. [01:13.88]Many people wondered how photographers [01:16.72]were able to catch such an image. [01:19.84]Another great photo came from a women's wrestling gold medal match. [01:26.88]Japanese wrestler Risako Kawai celebrated her victory [01:32.28]in the 63-kilogram class by throwing her coach to the floor. [01:40.08]It was a surprising and different way to celebrate. [01:44.64]Many wrestlers lift their coach up onto their shoulders instead. [01:51.96]But do not worry, Kawai did that, too. [01:56.32]Earlier in the week, [01:58.64]another image from Rio caught the world's attention. [02:03.24]During a 5-kilometer race, [02:06.40]American runner Abby D'Agostino [02:10.08]and Nikki Hamblin of New Zealand had an accident. [02:14.80]The runners' feet touched and both athletes fell to the ground. [02:20.96]Both Hamblin and D' Agostino looked hurt. [02:25.68]But they helped each other up and kept running. [02:30.08]It turned out D' Agostino had a severe knee injury. [02:35.44]She crossed the finish line far behind the other runners. [02:41.44]D' Agostino was not able to continue in the Olympics. [02:46.64]Many people said the picture of the two women helping each other up [02:51.76]was the perfect example of the Olympic spirit. [02:56.72]Another dramatic moment came in the women's 400-meter race. [03:03.20]Allyson Felix of the United States [03:06.52]was in the lead with just a few meters to go. [03:11.24]But at the last second, Shaunae Miller of the Bahamas [03:16.16]dove over the finish line to win the gold medal. [03:21.24]Miller's dive was legal, [03:24.04]and she became the Olympic champion. [03:27.96]Of course, no World Photo Day would be complete [03:33.20]without people sharing photos of their cats. [03:37.16]So here is a photo of a cat in bed. [03:41.44]And that's What's Trending Today. [03:44.92]I'm Dan Friedell. [03:46.56]更多听力请访问51VOA.COM
