现在，学校几乎都连接了互联网。但是其中一些学校拥有更多设备，使用的也更多。例如，一些学校使用电脑进行视频会议，将整个世界带到课堂。
还有一些教室装置了Smart Board一样的装备，是一种互动白色书写板。互动书写板是用于讲课的大型展示屏。它们与电脑相连接，可以通过触摸来操作，可以用于文件或书写或播放视频。
一些教师使用iPod和手机等设备教学来尝试创新的方法。但是教育家表示，最重要的还是内容。
然而，在某些情况下，技术起到非常特殊的作用。Cosmobot是一种治疗机器人，大约半米高，身体是蓝色，和蔼的面容上有一双大大的眼睛。
与这个机器人一起工作的是一个六岁的小男孩Kevin Fitzgerald。Kevin患有发育性运动障碍，要运动口和舌有一定的困难。
在与Cosmobot互动进行治疗的过程中，他与Carole Semango-Sprouse一起工作。他通过电脑上的一系列按钮来操作，使安静的机器人前后左右的移动。

“be of+抽象名词”，这时的of短语相当于这个名词的同根形容词，作为表语表示主语的性质或特征。of的意思是“具有、具备”等，常用于该结构的名词常见的有of use=useful；of nouse=useless；of importance=important等。如：

在形容词前常用very来修饰，在“of+抽象名词”结构中，名词前常用great,much等来修饰。
