韩国前总统接受腐败调查质询 Ex-South Korean President Roh Questioned in Corruption Probe

韩国检察机关质询了前总统卢武铉,原因是他涉嫌与数百万美元的腐败丑闻有关。卢武铉回答了数以百计与案件有关的问题,问题涉及他的家人接受韩国商人数百万美元资金的指控。

韩国高级检察官洪满杓说,到目前为止,前总统一直在配合调查。卢武铉抵达位于首尔的检察院对记者表示他感到耻辱,并且向他的支持者道歉,说他辜负了他们的期望。卢武铉还承认他的妻子收取了数目不详的资金,以偿还债务,但否认他事前就知道此事。

South Korean prosecutors have questioned former South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun in connection with a multi-million dollar corruption scandal.

Mr. Roh answered hundreds of questions in connection with the case, involving allegations that members of his family accepted millions of dollars from a South Korean businessman.

Senior prosecutor Hong Man-pyo said so far the former president is cooperating with the investigation.

Mr. Roh told reporters when he arrived at the office in Seoul that he feels ashamed, apologizing to his supporters for disappointing them. Mr. Roh has admitted his wife took an unspecified amount as a loan to pay off debts, but denies he was aware of it in advance.
