[00:14.44]The crash killed all 176 people on the plane. [00:19.40]It happened just hours after Iran attacked American bases in Iraq with ballistic missiles. [00:28.24]No one was hurt in the strikes. [00:32.16]The strikes were in answer to the U.S. killing last week of Iranian military official Qassem Soleimani. [00:42.44]The plane crashed minutes after leaving Tehran airport. [00:47.08]Iranian officials said they believed a mechanical problem caused the crash. [00:53.12]They have disputed suggestions that the plane was hit by a missile. [00:59.48]Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy cut short a visit to Oman to return to Kyiv following the crash. [01:09.52]He said a team of Ukrainian experts would fly to Tehran to help investigate the crash. [01:17.84]"Our priority is to find the truth and everyone responsible for the tragedy," [01:24.88]Zelenskiy wrote in a Facebook statement. [01:29.20]The UIA flight was bound for Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, [01:34.84]carrying 167 passengers and a crew of nine. [01:40.12]Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko said the dead included 82 Iranians, [01:47.92]63 Canadians, 11 Ukrainians, 10 Swedes, four Afghans, three Germans and three Britons. [01:57.76]Airline officials said most of the passengers were going to the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, [02:04.64]to change planes for other cities. [02:08.60]Later Wednesday, several European airline companies announced [02:13.12]they were changing their routes to avoid Iranian airspace. [02:18.00]The changes are expected to decrease air travel between Iran and Western Europe. [02:25.52]Air France and Dutch airline KLM both said Wednesday [02:30.68]that they had suspended all flights over Iranian and Iraqi airspace. [02:37.00]German airline Lufthansa also canceled flights to Iraq. [02:43.16]In North America, Air Canada changed its flight paths from Toronto to Dubai [02:49.80]through Egypt and Saudi Arabia to avoid traveling over Iraq. [02:55.96]In Canada, Foreign Minister Fran?ois-Philippe Champagne said Wednesday [03:01.60]Canada's "hearts are with the loved ones of the victims, including many Canadians." [03:08.96]The Ukrainian president asked Ukraine International Airlines [03:13.04]to begin a full inspection of all non-military airplanes in the country. [03:20.04]Iran's Road and Transportation Ministry said it appears that one of the plane's engines caught fire. [03:29.04]The plane was fully loaded with fuel for its 2,300-kilometer trip. [03:35.20]It crashed near the town of Shahedshahr, just outside Tehran. [03:41.68]I'm Susan Shand. 更多听力请访问51VOA.COM
