U.S. and South Korean trade negotiators are not saying whether a long-delayed trade pact is ready to be approved by their presidents this week.

U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk and South Korean Trade Minister Kim Jong-hoon have been meeting since Monday trying to resolve differences that have held up the free-trade agreement for three years.

But they broke off Wednesday with no word on progress from either side. Nor did they say when or whether they will meet again.

U.S. President Barack Obama and his South Korean counterpart, Lee Myung-bak, agreed last week to make an all-out push to reach an agreement before they meet at the G20 summit of leading economic powers. The conference opens Thursday evening in Seoul.
